I am glad and very thankful to witness the screening session as part of the preparation of the 9th Governor's Cup 2014.

The said screening is a way of profiling the players, knowing more about them whether if they are qualified or not.

Mr. Florentino M. Mabras III (right) and Mr. Danilo T. Garcia (second to the left) discussing about the players and the screening process
They were so busy in conducting the said activity.

Governor Adolph Edward Plaza gave his message to the players and explain the reason why it should have to conduct a screening session.

The screening is necessary to minimize the conflict after the especially since some of the participating municipalities were unfair and import players from different provinces. But it is on the mandate that there should be no import nor representative whether it is a relative or not.

Despite of some problems encountered and as the chairman of the 9th Governor's Cup 2014, SP member Edilberto Bastareche still find his way on helping and even lifting a table to make the screening successful.

The technical working group of the contest were very busy in preparing the papers of the players.

SP member Edward Mellana (left) and SP member Edilberto Bastareche (second to the right) were thankful for the help of SP member Dr. Susan Gerona (right) and the doctors of the Provincial Health Office in checking the player's condition during the screening.

It was so hot that I couldn't barely smile but my heart is pounding with joy, for this is my 7th tree planting activity attended. This is a rambutan seedling, and I named it RambutIAN.. lol.. Know the story below.

PATIN-AY, Prosperidad. Showing the women’s helping heart for the children in the conflict with the law, the women from the different National and provincial offices gathered to participate in Fun walk and tree planting activities as part of the Women Month celebration last March 31, 2014.

A fun walk was first initiated going to the Regional Rehabilitation Center for youth (RRCY) after the flag ceremony of the provincial government of Agusan del Sur employees.

Employees from different offices, including men, joined the activity and participate in the advocacy of the women.

According to Ms. Loida V. Antonio of Provincial Social Welfare Development Office (PSWDO) the fun walk and tree planting is a culminating activity for the Women’s Month celebration. And she was very grateful that women and men participated on the said activities.

On the tree planting activity, which was held at the RRCY, they used Rambutan tree because this will become an income generating opportunity for the youth on the center. Because, the said fruit bearing tree will give its fruit after two years according to Ms. Antonio.

SP member Hon. Gina Ceballos and Provincial Director of DILG Ms. Arlene Sanchez participated on the tree planting activity with Department of Education, Department of Interior and Local Government, PNP and other different employees of the provincial offices.
